Bang Theory will continue past season 10
The Big Bang Theory moving into its 10th season
and the contract discussions for the cast looming. The biggest question is whether
the juggernaut comedy will be back for more.
“We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big
Bang past year 10,” CBS chief Glenn Geller told reporters at the Television
Critics Association’s press tour on Wednesday. “I know Warner Bros will make
those deals.”
Geller declined to offer any details on when we might hear
an statement on Big Bang Theory’s renewal, but later added, “We’ll put it on
for as long as everybody wants Big Bang on the air. I hope it persists
forever.”
For his part, executive producer Steve Molaro said EW he
wasn’t looking at season 10 as the show’s last, but he does have an idea on how
the show could end. “I have individual thoughts that have been moving around in
my head, but we haven’t really chattered about it,” he said after the season 9
finale. “It always seems like this thing that’s off in the distance forever.
Until it becomes closer to a reality, I’m not going to think about it all that
much, because it makes me sad.”
